Hi Harrison here your Charnwood House Captain.
Hi all , Happy Easter , enjoy the Easter week end , hope you enjoy eating all your chocolate eggs ,
Don’t forget to photograph and post all your school work and projects after you have finished it , so we can get lots of House points for all your hard work .
Hey Bradgate! Its your house captain Chloe here, I was just writing to check how everyone is getting on? I hope you are all still ok and are keeping busy. Even though we are not at school we can all still be earning lots virtual house points! I know it’s a bit strange not being at school, but we all need to make sure we are still doing lots of exercise to keep us busy. Has anyone tried Joe Wick’s exercise? I have. Anyway, I hope you all understand your work and are still happy 😊.
My challenge for you: try and do your best and see how many virtual house points you can get! I hope we will all be back at school soon. Until then try your best and I will see you when we are all back in school,
Keep safe! And see you soon Bradgate! (GO BRADGATE!!)
Lots of love, from Chloe xx

How to make a scrumptious
lemon drizzle cake!
Preheat the oven to 180c or 160c fan (350F). Next, cream the sugar and the butter in a bowl.
Now, add in 2 eggs and whisk until fluffy. Sift in the flour and fold. Make sure it’s smooth and don’t forget the sides.
Add the zest of two lemons and the juice of one, then mix.
Next, spoon the batter into a greased cake tin (I used a small, bread tin). Make sure the batter is even in the tin. Bake the cake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until ready. When you think it's ready, poke it with a skewer in the middle, if it comes out clean it’s ready.
In a small pan, mix in the juice of two lemons with the icing sugar. Place the pan over a medium heat (with a parents help), and stir. The more you mix, the more of a syrupy mixture you will have.
Poke holes all over the sponge (not to the bottom), carefully and gently pour the syrup over the sponge. Allow the sponge to cool, and enjoy!!
Dear School friends and parents,
During these unprecedented times we want to assure you that your school council is still available to you. We will soon be sending out blogs about our time during the ‘LOCKDOWN ‘! In the meantime, please everyone, stay safe, look after each other and always have a smile on your face!

The school council meet once a fortnight where we discuss issues bought up by their fellow students. Fundraising events are organised and suggestions made as to how we can make our school even better! This year's International charity chosen by the school council is CAMFED (Campaign for female education.) This helps girls to attend school in developing countries.
