Leicestershire County Council manages all our admissions and you will need to apply to them directly through their website www.leics.gov.uk following the link to schools. This website has further details of how places are allocated.
If you wish to apply for a place for your child at our school then in the first instance, please phone the school and we will endeavour to arrange a time for you to take a tour of our school. We advise that you do this is in the Autumn term prior to your child starting in the following September.
The catchment area for our school is just Swithland Village itself and our intake in any one year is 15 children. If you live in the village, you are almost certain of a place but you will still need to apply within the application deadline. If you live outside the village, do not let this deter you from visiting and applying - we always attract parents with children from outside the village - only 12% of our children are from in catchment - most of our children are from Mountsorrel or Rothley.
Please note that even if this school is your first choice, you really need to include your catchment school in your other choices so that you are certain of a place at a local school.
