Walt: To make 2-D or 3-D representations
Take a look at the picture on slide 1 of the presentation. (Attached below)
**Adults -Do not tell the children who/what it is (if you know)
What can you see? Who do you think it is? Where do you think it is? Why do you think it is there? What is it made from? How big do you think it might be?
Now take a look at slide 2 and 3 on the presentation.
Look at the different pictures to show the perspective and size. Explain that this is called Christ the Redeemer. Read the facts about this statue.
Today we are going to be making our own representation of this statue. How you do this is up to you. You can use any media and materials you wish. Some ideas are listed below. Try and take a photo of your finished work so that we can see it.
